Google Ads conversion tracking, fixed
If Google Ads says you got 80 leads and your inbox says 30, something is wrong with the tracking. We find what's broken and rebuild it so each lead or sale is counted once.
Signs your tracking is broken
Bad tracking doesn't throw an error. The account keeps running and the reports keep looking fine. Meanwhile Google's bidding is learning from the wrong signal.
These are the problems we find most often:
The same lead counted twice or more
A Google Ads tag and an imported GA4 conversion both set to Primary. A thank-you page that fires every time it's refreshed. Lead conversions set to count every conversion instead of one.
Micro-actions counted as leads
Page views, scroll depth or clicks on the phone number counted as conversions. They make the numbers look healthy and teach bidding to chase browsers.
Calls set to Secondary
Call tracking was set up once, then left as a Secondary action. The calls are in the account but Google doesn't count them or bid toward them.
Forms that stopped firing
A website update changed the form, and the tag that used to track it quietly stopped working. Nobody noticed for months.
How we fix it
Audit what's firing
We check every conversion action in Google Ads, every tag in Tag Manager and what fires on your site when someone calls, submits a form or buys.
Compare with your CRM
We line up the conversions Google reports with the leads or sales your CRM recorded over the same period. The gap shows how far off things are.
Rebuild it cleanly
One primary conversion per lead or sale, with the right counting setting. Calls tracked properly. Enhanced conversions added where they help.
Check it stays fixed
We test after every site change and keep comparing with your CRM each month, so tracking doesn't drift again.
Why this comes first
Every bidding decision Google makes is based on your conversions. If the data is wrong, adding budget just buys more of the wrong thing. That's why we fix tracking before we touch your spend. This means every number we report afterwards is one you can check yourself.

Questions people ask
The most common reasons are duplicate tags, conversions set to count every action, micro-actions counted as leads and forms that stopped tracking. A quick check against your CRM usually shows which one it is.
Primary conversions are counted in the Conversions column and used for bidding. Secondary ones are recorded but ignored by bidding. Your real leads and sales should be Primary. Everything else should be Secondary or removed.
It isn't required, but it makes tracking much easier to manage and test. We set it up if you don't have it.
Most accounts take a few days to a couple of weeks, depending on how many forms, calls and platforms are involved. Bidding then needs a few weeks to adjust to the clean data.
